Assistant Director of Annual Giving - Parents and Stewardship

 

Franklin Pierce is seeking a dynamic, energetic and experienced individual to join our team in the Department of Institutional Advancement.  The Assistant Director reports to the Vice President of Institutional Advancement. This individual will be responsible for the overall planning and implementation of a proactive and comprehensive donor relations program, directing special gift solicitations and implementing gift solicitations for young alumni.

A Bachelor’s degree with two to five years experience in higher education development or fundraising and sponsorship sales experience, preferably in a non-profit environment.  A Master’s degree is ideal. Demonstrated abilities to solicit major gifts and large sponsorship agreements from varied groups of prospects. Excellent communication and excellent interpersonal skills and creativity are essential to candidates for this position.  Individual must be self motivated and able to meet deadlines with the ability to balance multiple tasks with accuracy to details.  Desire for challenges. Be committed to professional fundraising ethics.  Able to work collaboratively with all segments of the university, its volunteers and our community.  Extensive database and PC experience.  High professional and ethical standards for handling confidential information. Ability and willingness to travel and to work nights and weekends. Possess a clean and valid driver’s license.
