
Producer (Library Services)
Franklin Pierce University is seeking an interim Producer reporting to the Director of Library Services to coordinate and deliver all media pre-production, production and post-production support for courses, the Marlin Fitzwater Center for Communication, and other college departments and programs, in both studio and field, on- and off-campus. This full-time position will consult frequently with faculty and staff on their production needs, provide nonlinear editing and graphic services for post- production, and supervise students in the production environment. This position will work with the Director of the Fitzwater Center to maintain the Fitzwater Center’s strategic positioning as a state-of-the-art communications facility and with faculty in Mass Communication to support that program’s current and future curricular requirements. The Producer will work closely with other media support specialists and information technology staff to meet the College’s production requirements.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in mass communication or video production or another relevant discipline. A minimum of two years’ professional level mass media production, studio and field experience, digital editing and audio engineering. Demonstrated familiarity with various industry standard applications and competencies. The ability to adapt to and adopt merging technologies. A commitment to quality media production in a learning environment. Posses the ability to work a flexible schedule in a fast-paced environment, work successfully in a team, strong interpersonal and communication skills. Broadcast engineering experience a plus. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
