Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer
Franklin Pierce University, a dynamic teaching and learning community offering a blend of traditional liberal arts, pre-professional, teacher preparation, and master's and doctoral degrees seeks a Vice President for Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer. The Vice President serves as the Chief Financial Officer and works closely with the President, Board of Trustees, and cabinet members to provide strategic leadership in the areas of finance, purchasing, human resources, risk management, and new business ventures. Reporting to the President and at the appointment of the Board of Trustees, this position oversees and manages a wide range of financial functions, including accounting, financial reporting, investment management, cash management, debt restructuring and management, budget and planning, and financial analysis. Reporting directly to the Vice President for Finance and Administration are the Controller, Human Resources Director and the Purchasing and Mail Center Director.

The successful candidate for this position will have a master's degree in Finance or Accounting or related degree and experience, a professional qualification (CPA/CFA/CA) is preferred and have at least five years experience as a chief financial officer, preferably in higher education. Demonstrated success in debt restructuring and financial analysis is required as well as extensive experience leading, developing individual staff members and management teams. Experience with vendor and employment contract negotiations as well as prior Human Resource experience is preferred.
