RINDGE, NH - Franklin Pierce University has launched its new public web site, designed to be the primary source of information for prospective students seeking admission to the undergraduate College at Rindge and the College of Graduate and Professional Studies.
The site is visually aligned with the University's new graphic identity which was created when Franklin Pierce College achieved university status in 2007. "Becoming a university was an affirmation of our stature and impact in higher education, so it was important to provide a visual statement to our web visitors that we are a growing institution with a bold vision," said Dr. George J. Hagerty, President of Franklin Pierce University.
The visual templates and technical foundation for the web site were created by Radwell Communication by Design of Northampton, Mass. and Titanium, also of Northampton, Mass. The Office of Marketing and Communications at Franklin Pierce developed the content in conjunction with the the University's Information Technology Department. The site is hosted by pair Networks, a certified carbon-neutral hosting service.
"Environmentally-responsible web hosting is important to Franklin Pierce, especially since we have pledged to become carbon-neutral and our students and faculty have undertaken a number of recycling measures and initiatives to reduce energy consumption," said University Communications Director Brian Stuart.
Stuart said the University considers the new web site to be "phase one" of an evolving web presence that will grow to include additional multimedia clips, student voices and interactivity. "A web site is not a once-for-all delivered product, but rather a process," Stuart said. "We believe that we have takenĀ a positive first step with a clean, clear site. We will now turn our attention to enhancing and updating the site so it reflects the richness and full benefits of a Franklin Pierce education."
