Jefferson K. Allen

Jefferson AllenJefferson K. Allen received his B.S. in Criminal Justice from St. Anselm College, his M.S. in Criminal Justice from Boston University and his J.D. from New England School of Law. He was a police officer for four years in Nashua, New Hampshire, practiced criminal law for 15 years, and for four years he supervised military police and served as a prosecutor in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps. Professor Allen also served as Police Commissioner as part of his duties while a Selectman in Peterborough, New Hampshire. His teaching interests and specialties include introductory criminal justice, police work, criminal investigation and evidence, courts and criminal procedure, law and society and the criminal justice senior seminar. Considered by his students as a clear and motivating teacher with lots of great stories to tell, Professor Allen makes class and academic work enjoyable, yet very challenging. He is also an extremely popular student advisor.
