Teaching Interests: I enjoy teaching literature using multiple perspectives, and I appreciate the interdisciplinary focus of our core curriculum - making connections between history and literature is often enlightening for the students.
Service: I am an advisor to both English majors and American Studies majors, and have served on a number of governance committees including as an officer in the Rindge Faculty Federation.
Personal Interests: Reading both fiction and nonfiction; gardening, kayaking, and traveling. My husband and I have traveled extensively through the American Southwest, and this past decade we have traveled to England, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and Finland. This summer we hope to visit Moscow and St. Petersburg Russia.
