The Franklin Pierce chapter of the national Anthropology Honor Society, Lambda Alpha, was the first chapter to be organized in the state of New Hampshire. To be inducted into the honor society a student must be an Anthropology major, have a 3.25 general cumulative average and a 3.25 Anthropology course average with no grade lower than a “C” in an Anthropology course. Membership costs $25. A golden-colored ID card and a certificate for framing are awarded at the induction luncheon which takes place annually. Students may also purchase satin stoles for $25 and a tie tack for $10 which can be worn over the student’s graduation gown at Commencement.
