Criminal Justice

A major and a minor are offered in Criminal Justice.

 Criminal Justice
While pursuing their studies at Franklin Pierce, students often work part-time as University security officers or police officers. Most students complete a voluntary criminal justice internship in their hometown between their junior and senior years.

The integrated coursework is organized around careers in law enforcement, corrections, and court work. Our program of criminal justice study is also deeply rooted in the liberal arts. The faculty seek to produce graduates who enter the criminal justice field or graduate school with an appreciation of gender, religious, racial, cultural and ethnic differences, and an ability to think critically and follow ethical standards. We want our students to be inquisitive and to work towards constructive change.
