A major and a minor are offered in Psychology.
Franklin Pierce offers both major and minor concentrations in general psychology. We not only offer the typical undergraduate courses in biological, clinical, cognitive, developmental, and social psychology but we also offer the more unusual undergraduate courses in addiction, consciousness, parapsychology, perception, psychopharmacology, and sports psychology. Our main focus is on excellence in teaching and our faculty are representative of the wide range of areas of expertise in psychology.
Pictured are some of the current student members of Psi Chi and the Psychology Club. Psi Chi is a national honor society for students who excel in psychology.
The Franklin Pierce University Psychology Department learning experience allows our students a number of after-graduation options. For example, some students pursue graduate degrees in psychology, social work, or law, and other students obtain jobs in social service agencies, community mental health, human resources, law enforcement, or business.
We have about 70 students majoring in psychology. Our students are from diverse cultural, racial, and economic backgrounds and have varied interests within the field of psychology.
PSI CHI
