Health Sciences to DPT pathwayFranklin Pierce's direct admit program enables students to earn their bachelor's degree in Health Sciences and Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in just six and a half years.

Direct admit students will first complete their four-year Health Sciences degree. Upon successful completion of the progression standards, students are guaranteed admission into the two-and-a-half-year Doctor of Physical Therapy program (4+2.5). 

Advancement into the professional DPT program occurs with no formal reapplication process.

Program Details

Undergraduate Health Sciences majors receive tailored advising and support to prepare them for doctoral study and admission to Franklin Pierce's program, including guidance on the GRE exam. The undergraduate program is completed on the Rindge, NH campus.

The Doctor of Physical Therapy program operates at two modern, custom-designed facilities—one in Manchester, New Hampshire, and the other in Goodyear, Arizona. Along with classroom and lab work, the program includes 38 weeks of full-time clinical work at various sites to prepare for licensure.

How to Apply

Applications to the Health Sciences/DPT 4+2.5 direct admit program must be received by February 3, 2017 for Fall 2017 enrollment.

  1. Submit your Franklin Pierce University Application for Admission.

  2. Submit your Health Sciences / DPT (4+2.5) Application Addendum along with other application materials. All materials must be received by February 3, 2017 for Fall 2017 enrollment.

Founders Scholarship

NEW - The Founders Scholarship is awarded to those students who are admitted to the Health Sciences/Doctor of Physical Therapy Direct Admit program. This scholarship provides full tuition for all four years of undergraduate study at Franklin Pierce in place of all previously awarded merit scholarships from Franklin Pierce. Some restrictions apply.
