Public Health Degree Information

Improve Lives and Address Health Concerns Locally, Nationally and Globally

Explore coursework across multiple disciplines with the goal of improving lives and addressing health concerns at the local, national, and global level. Major coursework are based upon the five areas of public health knowledge defined by the Council on Education for Public Health: Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Environmental Health Sciences, Health Services Administration, and Social and Behavioral Sciences. Coursework will prepare you to pass the Certified in Public Health Examination. Graduate prepared to conduct research, develop policies, provide health education, and confront domestic violence and substance abuse issues.

A major and minor are offered.

Public Health Club

The Franklin Pierce Public Health Club is an academically focused, student run organization whose purpose is to keep members up-to-date on current issues, changes, and developments in the field of public health. This club organizes and hosts health fairs and other events with the aim of creating greater awareness of healthy living within and around our local community. Follow us on twitter! Sigma Zeta

You have the opportunity to join Franklin Pierce's chapter of the National Science and Mathematics Honor Society if you meet national requirements for induction.
