New Students:
New students awarded a Federal Subsidized or Unsubsidized Stafford Loan will need to complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN). This document will be used in order for your Stafford Loan funds to be disbursed onto your student account.

You may choose any lender to fund your Stafford Loan. Franklin Pierce University has prepared the following lender list, outlining borrower benefits, for students to choose from when completing the online Master Promissory Note. Should you select a lender that is not on the Franklin Pierce University lender list, you must notify your Center via email.

Continuing Students:
Students continuing their program of study at Franklin Pierce University in the 2008/2009 Award year, who were enrolled during the 2007-08 academic year, will not have to complete another Master Promissory Note unless the student wishes to change their lender. Students wishing to change their lender must notify their Center in writing.  Otherwise, Stafford loans for 2008-09 will be generated with the same lender you used in the previous academic year.

Federal Graduate Plus Loan

 

The Graduate PLUS Loan for Graduate Students (Grad PLUS) is available for matriculated students studying in a graduate or professional degree program.  Students benefit from a fixed annual interest rate of 8.5%. Franklin Pierce University recommends three lenders for Graduate PLUS loans, but will certify a Grad PLUS loan from any other lender the student chooses. Should the student choose a lender not listed, below, please contact their Center to alert us of the lender you have chosen.

Alternative/Private loans are available to students based upon creditworthiness. Some students may need a co-borrower in order to qualify for an alternative loan. Franklin Pierce University recommends the following alternative/private loans for students to consider.
