Community Service
The Community Service office encourages the University community to get involved in public service. The office, located in the Campus Center, provides a clearinghouse for volunteer opportunities in the region and sponsors a Community Service Fair each September. The staff are available to assist students in finding volunteer opportunities throughout the academic year.
Students volunteer in a wide variety of programs including the Pierce Pal Program in the Jaffrey-Rindge Schools, Horse Power, local recreation department activities and events and many after school programs. Over 450 students participate in volunteer activities each year. The University's Individual & Community curriculum advocates student involvement in Community Service.
The Community Service office is also willing to help students initiate their own volunteer projects and events. Everyone is welcome to participate. Call Marabeth Farmer, Community Service Coordinator, at 603-899-4166 or stop by the office for further information.
