Franklin Pierce provides resources to help full-time academic, staff and adjunct employees and eligible dependents deal with these types of life events through its Employee Assistance Program Hotline (EAP) at 1-800-316-2796. The EAP provides confidential, short-term counseling at no cost to the employee.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also provides guidance on mental health and coping.
