The Career Development Center encourages all students to participate in experiential education, (micro) internships, externships, field placement and practicums whether paid or unpaid during the 2020-2021 academic year. However, many students may not be required to participate in these activities if they feel unsafe and should discuss with their advisor alternate credit bearing opportunities in pursuit of their degree. Student safety is always of the utmost importance which has been further underscored during our present CoVid-19 pandemic.
All students choosing to participate in on-ground internships or other experiential opportunities should perform due diligence prior accepting an employment or experiential offer.
Students are encouraged to do/consider the following:
Students should refrain from using the typical business handshake and must wash hands frequently during their internship experience. Illnesses should be immediately reported to Franklin Pierce University according to Student Involvement guidelines.
