Below is the schedule for our Winter Open House.

Open House is designed to allow all prospective students explore their opportunities at Franklin Pierce University. Take a campus tour, meet with faculty and staff, enjoy a complimentary lunch and ask all your questions.

The Arts at Franklin Pierce | Marulli Welcome Center 
Explore Franklin Pierce’s variety of studio art disciplines and our music program. Enjoy the current art exhibit in the Thoreau Gallery and a glassblowing demonstration (11a.m -1p.m.). 

Athletics | The Bubble
Ravens compete in NCAA Division II Programs as part of the Northeast-10 Conference. Learn more about your future as part of Raven Nation and hear from a panel of student athletes. Our Athletics staff will also share some information about NCAA eligibility so you're ready to play!

Emergency Medical Services | Fitzwater 102
As an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) major, you will study the field of rapid response while developing the critical thinking and decision-making skills needed to manage emergency situations. Although this non-clinical program does not lead to EMT or paramedic certification, you can work on campus as a security officer, EMT or firefighter!

The Marlin Fitzwater Center for Communication | Fitzwater 101
The Fitzwater Center is home to state-of-the-art technology for you to use on projects that reflect your passion! Write for campus newspapers, host your own television or radio show, or even call sports games live on Raven Sports Network. You can also join PoliticsFitzU and cover upcoming elections. Meet at the Tour Tent at 11:30 a.m. to meet a Student Ambassador who will escort you down to Sodexo Field. 

Psychology | Marcucella 102
If you are fascinated by human behavior and how the mind works, Psychology may be the perfect major for you. You will be prepared to observe, analyze, research and design experiments while studying interpersonal relationships. In this program, aligned with the American Psychology Association guidelines, you will work with professors and be directly involved with research, paraprofessional training and field experiences.

Residential Life | Spagnuolo Hall
Living on campus is one of the most meaningful experiences in college. You can immerse yourself in campus life and form friendships that last long after graduation. Learn about the residence halls at Franklin Pierce—and how you can land a townhouse overlooking beautiful Pearly Pond for your senior year housing!

Admissions 101 | Fitzwater 101
The college search can be an overwhelming process, but don’t worry - we’re here to help! Our Admissions Team will provide tips and tricks on navigating the process and time for Q&A.

Communication | Fitzwater 101
As a Communication major, you will pay close attention to the ideas and messages around you and learn to analyze their intent and impact. You’ll study both theory and practice and take advantage of the media technology, speakers and hands-on experiences offered in the Marlin Fitzwater Center for Communication. Graduates will be prepared for a career in media, business, government, law, education and more. 

Criminal Justice Library
If you are interested in law enforcement, criminal law, the court system or social justice, the Criminal Justice major will prepare you for the mental challenge and high stakes problem-solving demanded by careers in these fields. Learn about student employment opportunities campus clubs and organizations in the criminal justice field.

Health Sciences | Spagnuolo Hall
A degree in Health Sciences will prepare you to enter countless areas within the hands-on healthcare field including medicine, physical therapy, dentistry, veterinary medicine and pharmacy. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics in 2018, 11 of 20 of the fastest growing careers are in the healthcare field!

History | Petrocelli 102
Studying history helps you understand the world around you. Our History major helps students build skills for work in museums, historic sites, digital media, archives, libraries and businesses. You’ll also learn more about FPU’s History Club!

Biology | Library
In a world of changing climate, expanding (and aging) populations, and shrinking natural resources, understanding the living beings on our planet has never been more critical. With your B.S. or B.A. in Biology, you can work in laboratory, classroom, office or field settings in an area poised for growth! You can also work toward earning your Teacher certification in Biology.

English & Creative Writing | Petrocelli 102
We all communicate meaning through words, spoken or written for the page and screen. Enjoy great literature of the past—Chaucer, Shakespeare, and the English Romantics—then, fast forward to the voices of today, including J.K. Rowling, Toni Morrison and Amy Tan. Choose a track in creative writing, education or literature and take advantage of opportunities to write for a variety of Franklin Pierce publications.

Human Services | Petrocelli 108
Do you have a passion to improve the lives of people in need? With a Human Services degree, you’ll be prepared to become a “helping professional.” You’ll evaluate programs and explore how community resources and agencies can empower individuals, strengthen communities and impact public policy. As a graduate, you can work with people to help them reach personal goals or with large communities to implement positive changes.

Life Beyond the Classroom | Marcucella 102
Learn about getting involved in the 35+ different clubs and organizations, numerous seasonal intramural sports, student government, various weekly activities and more! Whatever your passion is – there’s a club or sport for you here!

Student Financial Services | Spagnuolo Hall 
A must-see presentation for high school juniors and seniors! Join Ken Ferreira, Assistant Vice President for Student Financial Services, as he reviews the next steps for your financial aid planning and offers tips on navigating the process.

Sports Media | Fitzwater TV Studio
Use your knowledge and passion for sports to develop the skills to communicate effectively with athletes, managers, advertisers, media and fans across the world. You’ll have 24 Division II varsity teams to cover on and off campus, and broadcast technology at your disposal in the Marlin Fitzwater Center for Communication. Build knowledge for entry-level positions in secondary sports, minor league clubs, college athletics or smaller geographic markets, and the networking and strategy skills that can eventually lead to high-visibility careers in major markets.

The Center offers tutoring, academic accommodations and support for all students. These programs help you develop skills and strategies to be confident in the classroom and reach your academic goals.

College of Business | Library
Our faculty of experienced business professionals help you apply classroom learning to real-world challenges. Major in Accounting/Finance, Healthcare Administration, Management, Marketing or Sports & Recreation Management. You’ll be prepared to lead in a variety of organizations and businesses. Through the Business Plus+ program, you can complete both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in just 4 years, saving both time and money on your path to career success.

Digital Media Design | Fitzwater TV Studio
The internet is constantly evolving — sharing ideas, telling stories, entertaining, building communities, expanding empathy and bringing us together. With the Digital Media Design major, you will be well-prepared for creating, editing and managing professional visual, written and audio web content for business, education, news outlets, the arts and more. This program is one of only a few offered in the country and will prepare you to navigate our networked world as a confident professional.

Environmental Science & Environmental Studies | Fitzwater 101
When you choose an Environmental Science/Studies major, you’ll tackle some of the toughest environmental issues that challenge our world today. With our 1,200- acre living learning laboratory nestled between Mt. Monadnock and Pearly Pond, you’ll conduct important fieldwork on campus in the woods, wetlands, lakeshores, trails and gardens. With your knowledge, you’ll be prepared to be a key player in the “green economy.”

Master of Physician Assistant Studies | Marcucella 102
The Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) program is designed to train outstanding PAs who are compassionate and patient-centered providers. Our program was recently ranked #2 in the nation by the Rural Health Research Center (2016) for producing a high proportion of graduates that go on to work in rural health-care. Clinical training will include rotations throughout the underserved regions of New Hampshire and Vermont.

Physical Therapy is a competitive industry, and you want a program that offers a path to success. The Franklin Pierce 4+2.5 Health Sciences/Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Direct Admit Program enables you to complete your studies through the doctorate level in just 6.5 years!

Education & M.Ed. Program | Petrocelli 114
Teachers shape the lives of young people and leave a lasting impact. Follow your passion and focus your degree on one of the following areas: Elementary Education, General Special Education, or Secondary Education (English, Life Sciences, or Social Studies). You also have the option continue on to graduate school with the online M.Ed. program at Franklin Pierce!

Internships and Career Planning | Fitzwater 103
Internships and other onsite learning opportunities connect the classroom to the business world and  prepare you for career success. Learn how the Career Center services, events and partnerships work hand-in-hand with our academic programs.

Political Science | Fitzwater 101
As a Political Science major at Franklin Pierce, you’ll build skills, connections and experience for a career in law, government, politics, education or business. Our graduates are prepared for a J.D., Master’s, or Ph.D. level program in the fields of law, public policy, political management, public administration, international relations or homeland security. Combine classroom learning with extracurricular opportunities to join Model UN or conduct political polling with the Boston Herald, with a semester at the nation’s capital through a partnership with the Washington Center.

Campus Tours

Tours begin as groups form. Please stop by the tour tent in the Library Courtyard when you are ready to start your tour! (Tours last approximately 45 minutes).

Tours available from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. will depart from the Bubble. 

Tours available from 10:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. will depart from the Library Courtyard.
