Alumni, families, friends, and the public are welcome to join the Franklin Pierce community for an exciting day of Pierce Pride celebration on the College at Rindge campus.

Explore the academic, creative, and cultural pursuits and accomplishments of our students and faculty, enjoy fall foliage festival fun, take in a Raven Nation sporting event, and celebrate the Installation of Franklin Pierce’s sixth President Dr. Kim Mooney with dancing and a barbeque on the Manor Lawn.

11 a.m.-2 p.m. Academic Showcase Featuring a poster session of student work from the annual Academic Showcase. First Year Inquiry Coordinator Jessica Landis will be on hand until 12:30 p.m. to answer questions about the FYI course and academic advising. Library
11 a.m.-2 p.m. Fitzwater Open House Tour the Marlin Fitzwater Center for Communication. Beginning at the WFPC-LP 105.3 FM radio station, you will explore The Pierce Arrow, PMG Social Media, Four Corners Marketing, PoliticsFitzU, Raven Sports Network, and the Patterson Television Studio of FPTV-25.

11 a.m.-2 p.m. Glass Blowing Open House & Demonstration Drop by to see demonstrations of the fine art of glassblowing. Student works will be on display for sale. Glassblowing Shed
11 a.m.-2 p.m. INBRE Neuroscience Lab Demonstration Discover laboratory research focused on investigating the effects of opiods on the human brain. Students will be examining brain specimens harvested from 28 cases of drug overdoses. Their preliminary data will be presented at the upcoming Society for Neuroscience Annual meeting in Washington, D.C. This demonstration will be ongoing until 1 p.m. Marcucella Lab 112
11 a.m.-4 p.m. Franklin Pierce University Faculty Art Show Explore the pieces of work on display from members of the Franklin Pierce community. Thoreau Art Gallery, Peterson Manor
11:30 a.m. & 12:45 p.m. (2 Sessions) Tour of Historic Rindge – Sign up in the Campus Center Join your guide for a one-hour tour of Rindge, N.H., with stops at the Cathedral of the Pines and the historic Town Center. Experience a panoramic view of Mt. Monadnock and the rich history of the Second Rindge Meeting House built in 1796. See the Town Common, the Rindge Historical Society Museum, and many other interesting facets of the University’s home town! Tours will be offered for two sessions, one at 11:30 a.m. and again at 12:45 p.m. Departing from Campus Center Parking Lot
