The MBA in Human Resource Management is designed for current and future leaders who desire the knowledge and skills to best leverage the human resources in an organization. Coursework prepares students to look at their organizations from a system-wide perspective and apply strategic thinking and critical analysis. Students are provided with opportunities throughout the program to apply their learning in current work environments and/or within their communities.

Graduates are well prepared for careers as directors and vice presidents of human resource departments, senior HR specialists and generalists, or as business leaders with a strategic human resource management focus. Such roles are in high demand. Overall HR employment is projected to grow by 22 percent to 2018, much faster than the average for all occupations.*

Franklin Pierces program is one of the few master's programs in the U.S., and the only program in New Hampshire, that addresses all of the Society for Human Resource Management's (SHRM) critical competencies for human resource professionals (see news item at right).

3)  FPU SHRM Student Chapter – Franklin Pierce's SHRM Student Chapter is a professional organization that provides our students many professional development opportunities, such as PHR, SPHR, and GPHR certification support.

HRCI seal4)  Approved Provider by HR Certification Institute (HRCI)** – Participants who have obtained PHR/SPHR professional qualifications by the Society for Human Resource Management will receive 36 Strategic or General CE credits for EACH course.

The MBA in Human Resource Management program is designed to meet the needs of working adults. Classes are offered 100% online and in a hybrid format, which combines online coursework with traditional classroom learning at any of our Concord, Portsmouth, or Lebanon, NH centers.

To apply, candidates must complete an application and admissions portfolio as well as provide official transcripts from previously attended schools. GMAT/GRE tests are not required.

April 2010 - The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) has acknowledged that Franklin Pierce’s MBA in Human Resource Managementfully aligns with SHRM’s H.R. Curriculum Guidebook and Templates. Only 165 programs in 143 educational institutions have been acknowledged by SHRM as being in alignment. Franklin Pierce’s program is the only degree program in New Hampshire to receive this recognition.
