Constitution Day and its promise for equal rights and equal protections for all. 

9 am - 9:45 am, DiPietro Library Courtyard

Then They Came For Me: A Call to the Community, with President Kim Mooney reading the Preamble to the Constitution.  Other Franklin Pierce community members will read the 1st, 13th, 14th, 15th and 19th Amendments; other founding documents; selections from America’s civic discourse; and Pastor Neimoller’s poem.

10 am - 11 am, Fitzwater Center studios

The Place of Inclusion in Our Democracy, a panel discussion with representatives of the FPU community, live webcast.

2 pm - 3 pm, DiPietro Library Courtyard 

A Community Response, an informal event with stations set up for members of the FPU community to: sign a commitment to engage in a year-long conversation; volunteer to be part of many initiatives that will carry the conversation forward; to talk.


Democracy is noisy.  Let’s make some noise.
