Mayor Georgia Lord Memorial Scholarship

Mayor Georgia Lord was a staunch supporter and advocate of Franklin Pierce University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy degree program in Goodyear, AZ. Mayor Lord passed away in December 2021, after 17 years serving the community of Goodyear, including 10 years as its mayor.

In 2019, in honor of the impact of her energy and vision on the people and sustainable future of one of the fastest-growing cities in the country, Franklin Pierce bestowed Lord with a Doctor of Public Administration degree.

Created in her memory, the scholarship provides support to a student enrolled in the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program. Priority is given to students at the Goodyear, AZ campus.
