Dr. Owen R. Houghton Scholarship

The Dr. Owen R. Houghton Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2022, in honor of his 85th birthday. Houghton was Dean of Students from 1975-1990, Men’s Golf Coach from 1998-2013, and was honored with an Outstanding Service Award in 2018.

Dr. Houghton has been a resident of Jaffrey since 1975, a member of the United Church of Jaffrey, and active in community organizations like the Jaffrey Chamber of Commerce and Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary. Through this dedication to community service and his experience at Franklin Pierce University, the scholarship is for returning student(s) with demonstrated financial need who are active in community service in the Monadnock area.
