Franklin Pierce University Names Eric C. Graage Vice President for University Advancement

Franklin Pierce University has announced that Eric C. Graage has been named as Vice President for University Advancement effective July 1, 2022. Mr. Graage will serve as the chief fundraising officer for Franklin Pierce, bringing strategic, energizing leadership and bold thinking to the Office of University Advancement.
“I am pleased to welcome Eric to Franklin Pierce,” said President Kim Mooney ’83. "Serving as a vital member of the Senior Administrative Team, he will work closely with me and the staff of the Advancement Office to identify, cultivate, solicit, recognize, and steward the University’s philanthropic relationships and donors, especially as they relate to our milestone goals as laid out in our strategic plan, Pierce@60.”
Graage brings more than 20 years of experience as an accomplished and result-driven advancement leader in higher education and non-profit fundraising to Franklin Pierce, most recently serving as Vice President of Philanthropy at The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and before that at the University of Western Ontario’s Ivey Business School and Rhode Island School of Design. At the Cancer Foundation, he led a fundraising team which revitalized major and principal gifts, achieving 24% growth in cash revenue, while simultaneously managing a portfolio of top prospects and donors, securing pledges in excess of $10 million. Eric earned his master’s degree in international relations from Johns Hopkins University and his bachelor’s degree from Tufts University.

As Vice President for University Advancement, Graage is charged with leveraging the University’s strategic plan, which sets the foundation for philanthropic opportunities, for divisional planning and fundraising. His experience in leading largescale fundraising campaigns for higher education and non-profit institutions will help enhance the University’s strong annual giving, major gifts, and alumni relations efforts. He will also work to develop programs in planned giving and parent and family relations.
