Will Steger to discuss climate change at the annual Monadnock Institute conference on Oct. 24, 2009

This year’s Monadnock Institute symposium, “Addressing Climate Change—Regional Approaches” features keynote Will Steger. Steger has led teams on some of the most significant polar expeditions in history, earning him the Lifetime Achievement award from National Geographic Magazine. Steger will highlight the effects of climate change and summarize his expedition plans for Copenhagen (site of the UN Climate Change Conference this December). A panel discussion led by Richard Ober, VP of Civic Leadership and Communications at the NH Charitable Foundation and member of the NH Climate Coalition, will focus on state and regional approaches. The symposium dovetails with the International Day of Climate Action. All are invited to attend. The event will be held 8 a.m.-noon in Cheshire Hall on the Franklin Pierce University Rindge Campus. Admission is free.
